ABOUT

The study of law qualifies a man to be useful to himself, to his neighbors, and to the public.

Thomas Jefferson, 1790

In earlier decades Law For The People was on the leading edge of helping everyday people in divorce and contract related matters.  The firm's founder received a masters of public administration from State University of New York in policy, legislation and law and was employed at the state legislature, governor’s office and executive departments of New York State for over ten years.  After leaving government work, she authored a self-help book on New York divorce, after which the State did a 360 degree turn on divorce practices, and for nearly a decade helped families obtain a legal divorce that emphasized peaceful settlement and resource maximization, reducing family trauma, particularly in the interests of the well being of the children.

In more recent decades and presently, the concentrated focus has been on the most in-depth research available concerning the devolution of law and understanding its relationship to the big picture problems destroying our way of life, to lead the way with the best and most realistic solutions, not with some new idea pulled from the sky or the topic of a new book; but, rather back to the foundational blueprint of our heritage so wisely given to us by our Founding Fathers at the historic birth time of our Nation.
